In the coarse of a year and a half  three works were created which I present to you. Within them are expressed all those things, which carry us out of time, into seclusion, out of the present, into timelessness, and finally into love. It is understood after the process of their creation that only by drawing them, could each tale be told. Upon close observation each drawing describes a world within a world within a world. These worlds I had come to realize are within us all.

The first piece “the body” was created within a year of total solitude in which I was at the mercy of my emotions, and my body. The second “she asked me what my soul looked like” represents the inner force, which drives one through that which one is most afraid, the black moment, in which the real message is received.

The third piece I present to you is the result of the process of travelling into, and freeing ones self from the burden of trauma.  Taming the fever of emotional upheaval.  A journey into fear, the courage it takes to make it through, and the purification of the process.  What I have uncovered through this process was the source of actual inspiration, what was born out of it is what I believe to be something completely original.

When I came out of my solitude I found, I was open. In being open I found love. Alchemy works by having two materials, that of the primary matter or liquid blackness (the body) and that of some alloying and transforming addition (soul), must have something in common, some element of harmony that delighted one another. This creation is that transforming addition. It is the state of equilibrium, illustrating the nature of the body conquering the soul, and vice versa. The conquering act was the moment of transformation that I have illustrated here, the moment when equilibrium was broken, and a new relationship was established.

This is what happened in my life I found the love in another I had been searching for. The drawing was created as this relationship found its form.
